Louis is seeking a Music intern to support the music staff in preparing back-catalog titles for online release, developing and maintaining Lutheran Service Builder, and producing Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish. Responsibilities include engraving with Dorico/Sibelius/Finale, loading subscription content, entering and proofreading for Lutheran Service Builder, and assisting with worship planning and proofreading tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of historic and liturgical Lutheran church music is required.
• Coursework toward completing a degree in music, music history, or music business is required.
• Experience with PC computer systems is required.
• Engraving software experience is strongly desired.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign is desired.
• Complete junior year with full-time undergraduate status.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
• Active involvement in campus life and LCMS congregation membership required.

Responsibilities

Concordia Publishing House (CPH), the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, is seeking a Music intern. This intern will assist the music staff in the preparation of back-catalog music titles for release online, the development and maintenance of Lutheran Service Builder, and the production of Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish.

Specific duties include:

• Engraving music using Dorico, Sibelius, or Finale.
• Loading and reviewing online music subscription content.
• Entering and proofreading services for Lutheran Service Builder.
• Assisting with worship planning tasks for Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish.
• Proofreading music for Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish.
• Proofreading music for Hymn Playing Compendium.
• Researching copyright status of music titles.

• Duration: June 1 – July 30, 2027, with an optional one week of unpaid vacation.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Compensation: Interns will be paid at a rate of $16.00 per hour.
• Out-of-Town Interns: Students from outside the St. Louis area will receive a housing allowance of $125.00 per week. Interns are responsible for securing housing

Academic Credit:

Students may earn three hours of pass/fail credit upon successful completion of the internship, subject to their university's approval. Please consult your academic advisor for eligibility.
