Job summary

Guitar Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver lessons from the Guitar Center curriculum and foster students' growth and enjoyment. You will work to increase student headcount while upholding our culture of integrity and inclusion.

You will collaborate with the Lessons Lead, support customer experiences, and nurture long-term student relationships with families, aiming to inspire lifelong musicians within a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
• Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in (e.g., Drums, Guitar, Keyboard).
• Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
• Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
• Assist with Customer service to build long-term students and a great experience.
• Maintain regular communication with students and parents about progress.
• Support store culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:

Store Culture & Excellence:

• Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based off the needs of the community
• Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum
• Assist with Customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long term students by creating a great experience
• Additional duties as assigned

Student & Parent Partnership:

• Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher
• Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student
• Share students and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently

Requirements
