Title: Music Teacher (Part-Time)

Organizational Summary

Aquinas Classical Academy is a classical liberal arts high school in the Catholic tradition serving Catholic families primarily on the Kitsap Peninsula. Founded and incorporated in 2018, Aquinas Classical Academy is a Washington approved high school, recently accredited by NAPCIS (National Association of Catholic and Independent Schools) in 2024.

Position Summary

1-3 sections of high school music; Music I (9th grade), Music II (10th grade), and/or Choir (11th & 12th grade). Our music program is threefold: history (music appreciation), theory, and performance. These classes include preparation for and performances in weekly Mass, Advent Concert, Benefit Brunch, and Graduation ceremony.

Start Date

This is for January 2026 through June 2026 with the possibility of renewing for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• BA or MA in specific subject, with emphasis on teaching.
• Background in sacred music
• Experience in leading a choir
• Trained in Classical Education or willing to be trained, including familiarity with Socratic Seminar and/or related pedagogy.
• Understands the importance of integrating content within the four-year course of study, especially as it relates to the Catholic Church, the Fathers of the Church, and Scripture.

Salary Range

$4,815-6,250 per class (will be pro-rated for the remainder of the year)
