Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a Music Teacher to guide elementary students through general music and expand talents into band, orchestra, choir, and related programs. You will help students develop musical skills and participate in school community events.

You will implement engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to foster a positive learning environment, while upholding professional standards and supporting families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Proven collaboration with peers to enhance instructional environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional activities to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identify, select and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Deliver direct instruction to develop social, physical and cognitive growth.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping of student progress.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents and professionals in writing and speech.
• Collaborate with peers to improve the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards in all interactions.
• Monitor student growth and adjust instruction as needed.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
• Meet deadlines and coordinate meetings as needed.
• Assess students’ learning and celebrate achievements.
• Encourage students to uphold school values and good character.
• Be active on campus and participate in events outside normal hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
