Job summary

Fusion Academy in Florida is seeking a qualified Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role centers on personalized, one-on-one instruction, flexible scheduling, and collaboration with passionate colleagues.

You will adapt lessons to each learner, mentor social-emotional growth, and build strong partnerships with families while maintaining accurate records and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees, music certifications, or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of music courses with curriculum provided.
• Experience with recording arts and music production tools and techniques.
• Proficiency with at least two DAWs: ProTools, Logic, or Ableton Live.
• Experience with diverse learners including learning differences and mental health needs.
• Mentoring experience and passion for social-emotional learning.
• Out-going, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a student-centered environment.
• Florida residents require level 2 background screening.

Fusion Academy is the fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12. As a Music Teacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. Our diverse team of lifelong learners shares a mission to personalize education for every student — academically, socially, and emotionally. Please note: Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5, and specific details will be shared during the interview process.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees, mus ice certifications, or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of music courses (recording arts, music appreciation, music theory, bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, piano, songwriting, & vocals), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience with the tools and techniques associated with contemporary recording and music production: microphones, digital audio, audio editing, MIDI and virtual instruments, audio effects & processors, synthesis, sampling, and mixing.
• Proficiency with at least two of the three industry standard DAWs — ProTools, Logic, & Ableton Live.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
