Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a part-time Music Minister to provide music for Sunday Masses, weddings, and funerals at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO.

The role includes organizing and leading the Adult Choir for the 10:30 AM Mass and coordinating a Children’s Choir to sing alternately with the Adult Choir. The ideal candidate has experience providing music for Catholic liturgies, instrument or voice proficiency, and the ability to plan with the Pastor.

Qualifications

• Experience providing music for Catholic Mass or liturgical celebrations.
• Proficiency in an appropriate musical instrument and/or vocal music.
• Ability to prepare music independently and work with the Pastor and parish.
• Availability to fulfill weekly and seasonal liturgical commitments.

Responsibilities

• Provide music for assigned weekly Masses and other liturgical celebrations as needed.
• Select and prepare appropriate music for weekly liturgies in coordination with the Pastor.
• Lead and coordinate choir members as applicable.

Job Summary

Music Minister, Part-time, 12 – 15 hours a week

• Provide music for all Sunday Masses, Weddings, and Funerals
• Organize and lead an Adult Choir for the 10:30 AM Mass
• Organize and lead a Children’s Choir for the 10:30 AM Mass to sing alternately with the Adult Choir
• Meeting weekly with the Pastor to plan weekly liturgies and liturgical seasons
