Job summary

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is seeking a Concert Program Analyst who credits live concert performances by matching titles from concert programs to works in the ASCAP Repertory. CPCD Analysts weigh performances based on genre, instrumentation, and style before adding new title records to the database.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, broad knowledge of music (classical and neo-classical preferred),

Qualifications

• College degree in Music strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Matching works on concert programs to titles within PREP (ASCAP’s internal database).
• Classifying works based on genre, instrumentation, and duration.
• Utilizing internet resources to create work records.
• Merging duplicate works.
• Researching programs submitted by members to include in ASCAP’s annual distribution.
• Assisting special projects as needed.
