Job summary

School of Rock Rockwall is seeking a Music Instructor to lead lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience that challenges and inspires students while helping them develop music and life skills. You will guide students through fundamentals, performance-based instruction, and project-based learning in a supportive, energetic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years teaching or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Ability to handle a wide range of customers and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and customer relations skills.
• Problem solving and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Candidate should be a working musician with formal music school training.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Good judgment and passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Maximize quality of private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals, not just songs.
• Create and document lesson plans.
• Regularly communicate with parents about student progress.
• Be visible and accessible in the school.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
