Job summary

St. Ann Catholic Church seeks a part-time Music Coordinator to plan and facilitate music for all liturgies (12-15 hours per week). The ideal candidate will understand Catholic liturgy, lead cantors, coordinate musicians and choirs, and accompany with piano.

Description

St. Ann Catholic Church is seeking a part-time Music Coordinator (12-15 hours per week) to facilitate and plan music for all liturgies.

The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of Catholic Liturgy; knowledge of liturgical music in various styles, leadership skills to assist with vocal training for cantors, and the ability to work in cooperation with and under the direction of the pastor. Demonstrating the ability to play the piano with proficiency is required.

Requirements

A degree in music is preferred but not required. In addition to coordinating cantors, musicians, and choirs, this position will help coordinate holy days, weddings, funerals, and other accompaniment for special occasions.Salary is per the Diocesan scale.

Education and/or Certification: Degree in Music performance and composition or equivalent education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of liturgical music experience. Strong knowledge and appreciation of Catholic Liturgy.
