Job summary

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT is seeking a Music Assistant to support the development workshop of a new musical during the National Music Theater Conference. You will work closely with top-tier composers and music directors to track and implement score changes and distribute updates to the company.

Proficiency in Dorico and/or Sibelius and compositional piano skills are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must be highly proficient in Dorico and/or Sibelius.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Attend all workshop rehearsals (Tue–Sun, 10am–6pm, subject to change).
• Track, implement, and communicate score changes to company and creative team.
• Print and distribute score updates, lyric changes, and sheet music to the company.
• Coordinate with Script Assistant to ensure book/score continuity; identify discrepancies.
• Create a score revision distribution spreadsheet in collaboration with the Score Coordinator.
• Attend all public performances.
