Lake Michigan College is seeking qualified part-time adjunct instructors through a continuous applicant pool for the Music department. Positions are not guaranteed but may be filled as needs arise and applicants are approved for the pool.

Adjunct faculty are typically employed through Edustaff, LLC with onboarding requirements and transcripts needed at hire. Summer hours may apply; official transcripts are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Master of Arts Degree or Master of Music Degree or higher in relevant discipline or subfield.
• Performing and/or music education experience in the concentration or instrument to be taught is required.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music Degrees with 18+ graduate credits will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in assigned classes.
• Provides academic guidance and counseling to students in cooperation with Student Affairs Personnel.
• Maintains academic and programmatic standards.
• Monitors student progress.
• Keeps adequate and accurate records according to college procedures.
• Completes student grading, assessment and reporting in a timely manner.
• Participates in Departmental Jury Exams, when applicable.
