Qualifications

• Master's degree in History, Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Management, Education, or a closely related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience directing and managing all aspects of a business, governmental program, a museum, or a public historical program or institution; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This position is eligible for hybrid telework under the DNCR Telework Policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Section Managers responsible for Education, Curatorial, Collections Management, Exhibits, and Guest Services
• Provides strategic leadership, operational excellence and innovative revenue generation
• Serves as a member of the Division of State History Museums Executive Leadership team
• Translates strategic priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes
• Fosters collaboration across museum sections (departments)
• Represents the museum and division with government officials, partners, professional organizations, and the public as needed
