Job summary

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is seeking a dedicated Custodian to keep museum buildings and grounds clean and orderly. You will clean restrooms, windows, and floors; dust and polish; and help with event setup and guest house prep.

You must have a high school diploma or GED; prior custodial work is helpful. This role offers a starting wage of $16.82 per hour and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and LTD, FSA, HRA, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; understand rates, ratios and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Clean external and internal areas of buildings, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and high-touch areas.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings and events.
• Launder linen and prepare guest houses for guests.
• Clean sidewalks and dispose of waste; operate cleaning equipment.
