Job summary

Salem Health is hiring a Therapy Aide to support outpatient rehabilitation by assisting physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy staff. You’ll help with patient care, move patients safely, and keep therapy areas clean and organized.

Role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, non-exempt, with five 8-hour shifts from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. BLS within 90 days is required; driver’s license preferred. Resources and growth opportunities are available at Salem Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.
• Driver’s License preferred; minimum two years of driving; age 18+ at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during therapy sessions with comfort, dignity and safety.
• Support therapists with mobility tasks using proper safety techniques.
• Transport patients to and from therapy areas as needed.
• Monitor patient well-being and communicate concerns to staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe therapy environment.
• Stock and organize therapy supplies and equipment; perform minor repairs.
