The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on Musculoskeletal Medicine/Sport Medicine. Applicants must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates should bring to this position expertise through special experiences or additional fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Medicine/Sport Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities include teaching and mentoring of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.

Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients. This role will include attending physician for a comprehensive outpatient program. Applicants must have experience with procedural skills such as lumbar spine injections, as well as joint and soft tissue injections with and without ultrasound guidance.

Selected candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to effectively lead our interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should have strong clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. As an academic faculty member, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide outstanding teaching and mentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
