MUSC Health – Structural Heart Program in Columbia, SC is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to support a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team caring for complex valvular and structural heart disease. Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Provider: NP or PA, board certified and SC licensed or eligible.
• Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred.
• Experience with structural heart or interventional cardiology strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide PRN clinical support for the Structural Heart Program across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings.
• Assist with patient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of structural heart conditions.
• Participate in pre‑procedural workups, peri‑procedural care, and post‑procedural follow‑up for TAVR, TEER, and LAAO.
• Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, imaging specialists, and care teams.
• Perform clinical assessments, documentation, and coordination of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support continuity of care through patient education, discharge planning, and follow‑up management.
• Contribute to a culture of quality, innovation, and patient‑centered excellence.

Job Description Summary

MUSC Health is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Structural Heart Program on a PRN basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic, multidisciplinary cardiovascular team caring for patients with complex valvular and structural heart disease.

In this position, you will support procedural and clinical care across the continuum, contributing to innovative, life-changing therapies such as TAVR, MitraClip, and other transcatheter interventions.

The practice is part of MUSC Health’s greater Heart & Vascular Center, which provides compassionate care and advanced treatment to patients across South Carolina. MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Center has received the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ 3-star rating 20 years in a row, is accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, and is a BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina BlueDistinction® Center for Cardiac Care.
