Job summary

DXC Luxoft is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate automated MX platform delivery pipelines across SaaS, cloud, and on-premise environments. You will drive CI/CD, environment automation, and production reliability in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps, leveraging FreeMarker templates and scripting to streamline releases and deployments.

Qualifications

• CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Advanced Git usage and version control practices.
• Template engines: FreeMarker (FTL) experience.
• Scripting in Shell, Python, and Groovy.
• Linux/Unix proficiency and cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP a plus).
• Database experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Role Summary:As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating automated platforms that enable reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of the MX platform across SaaS, cloud, and on-premise environments.You will play a key role in CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, environment management, and production reliability, working closely with development, QA, and client-facing teams.Key Responsibilities:1. CI/CD & Release Engineering
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment across multiple environments
• Ensure pipeline stability, performance, and reliability, minimizing build failures and delays
• Implement automated build, packaging, and deployment processes
• Enforce version control best practices (branching strategies, tagging, artifact management)
• Support release cycles, including validation, smoke testing, and rollback strategies2. Automation
• Plan & Code Templates stored in Git repositories alongside application code, allowing template updates to be version-controlled, code-reviewed, and tracked
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and upgrades
• Build reusable automation components to improve scalability and consistency
• Reduce manual operations through process automation and scripting3. Environment & Platform Management
• Deploy and manage MX environments across development, testing, and production stages
• Handle environment lifecycle:o Provisioningo Configurationo Upgrades & patchingo Decommissioning
• Ensure environments are standardized, reproducible, and compliant
• Support multi-client and multi-environment setups in SaaS or hybrid models5. Monitoring, Observability & Reliability (SRE mindset)
• Implement and maintain:o Monitoringo Loggingo Alerting
• Ensure end-to-end observability of platforms and pipelines
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on incidents
• Contribute to improving system reliability, SLAs, and operational KPIs7. Data & Environment Operations
• Manage environment data lifecycle:o Data provisioningo Data masking for non-prod environmentso Data sampling and reduction
• Support database operations:o Migrationo Sanitizationo Reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with security and data governance requirements8. Incident & Support Management
• Act as a technical escalation point for environment and platform incidents
• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and environments
• Coordinate with support and product teams for resolution
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing9. Collaboration & Delivery Enablement
• Collaborate with:o Development teams (integration into CI/CD pipelines)o QA teams (test automation and environment consistency)o Product teams (release readiness and constraints)o Client teams (technical coordination and delivery)

Required Skills & Experience :Technical Skills

• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
• Version control systems: Git (advanced usage)
• Proficiency in template engines, specifically FreeMarker (FTL)
• Scripting: Shell, Python, Groovy
• Operating systems: Linux/Unix
• Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure/GCP is a plus
• Databases: RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)DevOps & Platform Expertise
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in complex environments
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
