Job summary

Wightman seeks a Civil Engineer with extensive municipal project experience to lead client relationships and oversee project delivery across storm, sanitary, water and roads facilities.

The role emphasizes business development, leadership of engineers and designers, and managing multiple projects with strict deadlines. Based in Benton Harbor, travel up to 10–15% locally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• PE licensure in Michigan required.
• 8+ years of experience managing municipal projects (storm, sanitary, water, local roads).
• 8+ years in A/E/C with municipal client retention/attraction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with current and potential municipal clients.
• Lead and manage projects including client communications and financial performance.
• Identify services needed by clients and draft proposals with fee estimates.
• Oversee workload and coordinate with other locations to deliver projects.
