Job summary

RJN Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to perform and supervise a broad range of municipal engineering tasks in water, sanitation, stormwater, and transportation projects. The role involves planning, design, construction oversight, data analysis, and coordination with contractors and agencies in the Tulsa area.

The successful candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 3+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively; presentations.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Proficient with standard AutoCAD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check detail plans, design calculations, cost estimations and recommendations for accuracy and standards.
• Compile and analyze engineering data and prepare conclusions.
• Design and prepare preliminary and final plans for municipal projects.
• Discuss plans with contractors, utilities companies and other agencies.
• Participate in studies to determine sufficiency of municipal systems.
• Estimate project costs and write contracts and specifications.
• Develop preliminary engineering plans for construction feasibility and costs.
• Meet with representatives of private industry and citizens on proposed projects.
• Recommend construction methods suitable for soils.
• Prepare final layout drawings and complete designs of municipal projects.
• Serve as quality assurance engineer reviewing plans and construction.
• Provide engineering design and construction services and field support.
