The ideal candidate will have IL admission, strong research and writing, and the ability to manage multiple matters with a collaborative team. Hybrid schedule may be available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Illinois licensure.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.
• One to three years of civil litigation experience, or a judicial clerkship with substantial litigation exposure.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Reliable transportation for travel to courts, client meetings, and firm offices.
• Collaborative work ethic and commitment to exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of civil litigation in Illinois state and federal courts under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analyses.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Assist with litigation strategy and case management from inception through appeal, when applicable.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's municipal practice areas to provide comprehensive legal representation.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through practical, responsive legal counsel.
