The Water & Power Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office seeks an attorney to advise and represent the Department of Water & Power on labor and employment matters, handling litigation in state and federal courts and giving strategic guidance on employee relations, discrimination and civil rights.

The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in California, have significant labor and employment law experience, strong writing and advocacy skills, and be able to work

Competenze

• Significant experience handling labor and employment matters and civil litigation.
• At least five years of labor and employment law experience.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Outstanding research and writing skills.
• Demonstrated verbal, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work as a team with the practice group.
• Ability to work with public officials and the public.
• Ability to work independently.

Mansioni

• Advise and represent DWP on labor and employment law matters, including trials in state and federal court.
• Provide advice on statutes and regulations governing employee relations, discrimination, and civil rights.
• Represent DWP in administrative matters and hearings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
