Job summary

Fishbeck in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a civil engineering intern to assist in designing water mains, sanitary sewers, and roadways for local municipalities, and to perform design calculations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

You will participate in site visits, collaborate with engineers across offices, and contribute to real projects that improve infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in designing water mains, sanitary sewers, and roadways for local municipalities.
  • Perform design calculations, develop cost estimates, and draft plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Participate in site visits to gather data and observe field conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple offices and disciplines.
  • Contribute to real projects that improve infrastructure and public services.
What We’re Looking For
  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program.
