raSmith invites a Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Services division in Wisconsin. You will design site civil components for public works, perform drainage calculations, and support permitting and grant processes. The role blends office design work with on-site observations, under a flexible hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in municipal civil projects or public works is preferred.
• Strong understanding of site grading, drainage, and water/sewer infrastructure.
• Ability to perform hydrologic/hydraulic calculations and planning.

• Prepare site civil designs, plans, specs, and estimates for municipal projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
• Conduct research, grant writing and permitting for projects.
• Provide construction observation fieldwork.

Municipal Civil Engineer - Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare site civil engineering designs, specifications, plans, and estimates for projects including: site grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water and sewer infrastructure, roads, and park amenities using AutoCAD Civil 3D and a variety of other engineering software.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
• Conduct research grant writing and permitting for projects
• Construction observation fieldwork
• Other duties as assigned
