Job summary

The Willard InterContinental Washington, DC, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Sous Chef Tournant to ensure quality and high standards across the kitchen. You will supervise and guide a team, maintaining smooth operation behind the scenes to deliver memorable dining experiences in a premier hotel.

Responsibilities include leading daily kitchen activities, coaching staff, and supporting busy service times while maintaining menu quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in culinary arts.
• 5 years’ experience as culinary professional.
• Must speak local language(s).
• At least two years in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience

Responsibilities

• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds
• Directing daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing a team
• Helping the busiest station during heavy service rushes
• Gaining proficiency of every station (sauté, grill, pantry, pastry)
• Encouraging and addressing guest feedback
