Job summary

Creative Risk Solutions, a Holmes Murphy line of business, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join our team. The role emphasizes handling claims across Maine, Connecticut, and New Jersey with compliance and accuracy at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years claims experience with strong background in Workers’ Compensation claims handling.
• Experience handling Maine, Connecticut, and New Jersey claims is required.
• Active Maine, Connecticut, and/or New Jersey Workers’ Compensation License required or ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
• Proficient knowledge of Workers’ Compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures.
• Ability to adjudicate lost time claims across multiple jurisdictions and quickly learn and adapt to various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Receives, transmits and documents workers’ compensation information from insureds, claimants and staff.
• Investigates, evaluates and resolves lost time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated claims.
• Mediates between insured and insurer, researching coverage issues as needed.
• Enters and maintains accurate claim data in the system, including settlements and final information.
• Generates indemnity and medical payment checks daily.
• Develops and maintains consistency in claims handling procedures within CRS.
• Willingness to obtain required licenses in applicable jurisdictions.
