Job summary

60 Insperity Services, L.P. is seeking a detail-oriented payroll tax specialist in Houston to ensure timely Federal, State, and Local tax deposits and returns.

You will research agency inquiries and support Sales and internal teams with employment tax questions, while assisting clients and employees with daily inquiries. The role requires 3–5 years of multi-state payroll tax filing experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of equivalent experience in business, finance or accounting.
• Three to five years of experience in multi-state payroll tax filing.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax compliance for Federal and State/Local authorities.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage large filing systems and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local payroll tax deposits and returns.
• Provide client and internal support on employment tax questions.
• Respond to tax inquiries and resolve issues with agencies and employees.
• Prepare check requests for tax refunds and code payments in ledger systems.
• Enter payroll tax adjustments and file tax authority returns.
• Assist with year-end reporting and deadlines compliance.
• Handle administrative tasks and tax notices on rotation.
• Support Finance leadership on projects as needed.
