Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health Austin is expanding its multispecialty ultrasound program, including abdominal, OB/GYN, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal and breast imaging. The PRN sonographer will support scheduled exams, patient preparation, and collaboration with the ultrasound team.

You will ensure quality imaging, adhere to protocols, maintain equipment, and participate in on-site training as new services launch. This role offers flexible scheduling to fit clinical operations in 2026.

Qualifications

• Grad from an Accredited Ultrasound program.
• At least 2 years of multispecialty ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS/registry certifications in listed areas.
• Registered or eligible for registry in relevant specialties.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures across abdominal, OB/GYN, cardiac, vascular, MSK and breast imaging.
• Obtains clinical history and frames exam questions for accurate interpretation.
• Maintains PACS/EMR workflows and equipment quality checks.
• Aids physicians in procedures and complex studies in the OR.
• Ensures patient safety, explains procedures and answers questions.
