Job summary

Akido Labs, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical offices across multiple states. You will assist physicians, collect patient data, perform injections, EKGs, and manage patient flow with infection control practices.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, documenting procedures, handling billing logs, and coordinating tests. A High School diploma and MA certification with BLS are required, with travel between departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Graduate from a recognized medical assistant program.
• Two years experience working as a Medical Assistant in a multi-specialty group setting required.
• Medical Assistant certification and current BLS.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and write correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examinations under physician direction and follow scope of practice.
• Maintain smooth patient flow and document orders and tests.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment after use.
• Administer prescribed medications orally or by injection and document details.
• Perform EKG and other certified procedures as required.
• Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.
• Travel between departments to cover staffing needs as required.
• Return patient charts to medical records and ensure orders are carried out.
