Job summary

BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or LPN to deliver compassionate patient care and support our clinical teams.

You will collect patient histories, perform routine lab procedures, prepare specimens, maintain the EMR, follow up on orders, and ensure regulatory compliance. Required: BLS and CMA/CCMA/RMA or active license within 6 months of hire; other MA/EMT/LPN qualifications accepted. This is a full-time, day-shift role.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• BLS and approved Medical Assistant Certification required within 6 months of hire date or proof of active license/certification.
• If not certified, must obtain CMA/CCMA/RMA or NRMA within 6 months.
• Florida alternatives include EMT, Paramedic or LPN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Record patient histories and perform routine lab procedures; prepare specimens for lab transport.
• Follow up on test orders and report results to provider and patient; maintain education materials and equipment.
• Create and maintain patient EMR; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
