Job summary

WWL WUPL-TV New Orleans, the CBS/MNTV TEGNA affiliate, seeks a Multi-Skilled Journalist to craft unique, well‑written stories for TV and digital platforms. You will shoot, write, produce and edit content with strong sources, while developing ideas and using social media to distribute stories.

WWL WUPL-TV New Orleans, the CBS/MNTV TEGNA affiliate is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to help maintain our tradition of superior reporting and newsgathering. We are interested in finding a journalist who can create unique, memorable and well‑written stories, who can share them on all platforms with a mix of outstanding photography and unforgettable editing. Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.

Requirements

• 1-3 years reporting experience preferred.
• Must possess solid newsjudgment, display strong communication skills, creativity, and ethical decision-making skills.
• Strong writing skills, production skills and tease writing abilities.
• ENPS, EDIUS and Axis graphics experience is preferred.
• Must be organized with the ability to work under constant deadlines.
• Must be able to calmly handlelive breaking news situations and changing events.
• Proven social and digital content creation ability.
• Knowledge of New Orleans a plus
