Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Multi-skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and facility systems across our production lines.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform precision repairs, electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, and basic control wiring to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, production equipment, and manufacturing systems.
• Working knowledge of electric motors, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot control circuits and perform basic electrical wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.
• Install, maintain, rebuild, and repair machinery, production equipment, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and power transmission systems.
• Diagnose and repair motor control circuits, starters, contactors, relays, limit switches, sensors, and basic electrical control systems.
• Perform basic control wiring and equipment installations following electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Utilize machine shop equipment and fabrication techniques to manufacture, modify, or repair machine components.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, machining, and fabrication tasks to support maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Install and commission new equipment, machinery, and production systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the facility's CMMS.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety requirements.

Job Summary

The Multi-skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This hands-on, multi-craft position requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform everything from precision mechanical repairs and machine rebuilding to electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, and basic control wiring. The successful candidate will work on production equipment, conveying systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electric motors, motor controls, and support equipment while helping minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree, apprenticeship, or trade certification.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting (inputs/outputs, fault finding, and basic diagnostics).
• Welding, fabrication, and machine shop experience including milling, turning, drilling, and machining operations.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.
