Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician in Watertown, SD to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to store facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will work under the General Maintenance Manager, following schedules and safety guidelines in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and certification or relevant trade experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 18 years or older and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
