Southwest Foodservice Excellence (SFE) is seeking a seasoned Food Service Director to lead operational and financial success across school district accounts. You will drive budget adherence, labor control, and compliance while delivering high-quality dining experiences.

The role requires multi-site leadership, recruitment of Food Service Directors, and regular field visits across an assigned territory. Travel will be routine, and you'll report to the Regional VP of Field Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive foodservice management experience.
• Experience managing multi-site operations with financial accountability.
• Experience developing operating budgets and analyzing financial statements.
• Experience recruiting and leading Food Service Directors and ops teams.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations and K-12 foodservice preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel regularly across assigned territory.
• Reports to the Regional Vice President of Field Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational, financial, and regulatory performance of assigned school district accounts through site visits and reviews.
• Evaluate cafeteria operations and oversee merchandising, meal service, and inventory accuracy.
• Serve as primary operational contact for district leadership with regular updates.
• Develop annual operating budgets and analyze weekly/monthly financial performance.
• Recruit, train, and oversee Food Service Directors and other leaders.
• Support growth through surveys, client presentations, board meetings, and transitions.
