NeueHealth in the United States seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with administrative and clinical duties. The role involves taking vitals, medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting during visits in our clinics across the region.

Travel to clinics within the region may be required to cover staffing needs. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, MA certification preferred, and at least one year of clinic experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or diploma from an accredited school is highly preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, physician practice or urgent care setting.

• Taking Patient Vital Signs
• Taking Medical Histories
• Preparing Patients for Medical Tests and Examinations
• Assisting Physicians During Examinations
• Explaining Medical Procedures to Patients
• Sterilizing Medical Instruments
• Removing Sutures
• Calling or electronic entering Prescriptions into Pharmacies
• Preparing Patients for X-Rays
• Administering Topical, Oral, or Intramuscular Medications
• Transcribing all notes and documents related to treatments
• Travel to clinics within the region as needed for business operation or staffing coverage requirements.
