Qualifications

• Senior sonographer with >36 months of experience in the imaging specialty.
• May float within the department between divisions and sites.
• Departmental duties may accompany scanning and procedures.
• Flexible schedule to meet operational staffing needs.
• Training to support at least two sites or modalities.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound units.
• Prepare ultrasound rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Interview and screen patients prior to examination and explain procedures.
• Perform, coordinate, and supervise selected patient testing services.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, and records are ready for care at satellites.
• Educate and support patients and families through various visits.
• Educate staff and patients in use of equipment, procedures and concepts.
• Assure maximum quality of care and effective antenatal testing systems.
• Maintain patient testing records and unit equipment.
• Assist in research projects as requested by the Division.
• Report equipment problems and image quality issues.
