The Hill, a division of Nexstar Media Group, seeks a highly creative Multiplatform Temporary Political News Producer – Editor with excellent news judgment and a proven track record to develop, write and edit compelling political video news content for The Hill's fast-paced video offering.

We are looking for a serious political junkie with a passion for all platforms, from broadcast to YouTube to streaming to social media.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years producing news/political content for digital, broadcast or social platforms.
• Proven ability to develop editorial video formats and maintain quality standards.
• Strong news writing, research and communication skills.
• Ability to pitch and produce video packages with dynamic visuals.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop political news for multiple platforms including streaming and social media.
• Collaborate with reporters, anchors and departments to produce videos.
• Produce, write and edit breaking news interviews and packages.
• Coordinate live streams and ensure timely coverage across websites and OTT.
• Create compelling thumbnails, headlines and lower thirds; enforce brand voice.
