Job summary

PhysicsX Ltd. is hiring a senior simulation engineer to build and validate multi-physics models, including CFD–DEM workflows. You will automate DoE studies, develop DEM models, and deliver high-fidelity datasets for AI surrogates.

You’ll work with Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM or Fluent, Python scripting, and parameterised CAD, while collaborating with customers worldwide and mentoring junior engineers. A hybrid, globally engaged role with strong impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years post-graduate experience in industry (not research).
• MEng, MSc, or PhD in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
• Python scripting and simulation automation experience.
• DoE, surrogate modelling, and design space exploration.
• Parametric CAD modelling (NX or CATIA advantageous).
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Independently build complex multi-physics models from geometry to validation.
• Develop and validate DEM models for granular and particle-laden systems.
• Create parametric CAD models coupled with automation for DoE studies.
• Collaborate with customers to address engineering challenges with AI-enabled solutions.
• Generate high-quality simulation datasets for machine learning surrogates.
• Leverage Flux cloud and HPC to scale high-fidelity modelling.
• Improve engineering practices and support physics-informed ML development.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative culture.
• Travel globally up to 2–3 weeks per quarter to work on-site with customers.
