Saltu Healthcare in Austin is seeking a Multimodality Technologist to perform X-ray and CT exams for outpatients and inpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will ensure high-quality images and put patients at ease while maintaining efficient workflow.

The role requires 2+ years of X-ray/CT experience, BLS, ARRT(R), ARRT(CT), and Texas MRT certifications, plus neuro/trauma experience and Thanksgiving holiday coverage.

A leading hospital is looking for a Multimodality Technologist to perform X-ray and CT exams for outpatients and hospital patients. You'll work under the general supervision of a Radiologist and follow established protocols. The ideal candidate works independently, stays calm under pressure and makes patients feel at ease while producing high quality images on time.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high quality multimodality exams according to protocol in a timely manner
• Monitor radiation dose against reference levels and take required action when a level is exceeded
• Use iSTAT point of care testing to obtain creatinine levels when applicable
• Use AIDET to confirm the correct exam on the correct patient, explain the procedure and check that the patient can tolerate it
• Position patients, use immobilization devices and set equipment and exposure factors correctly
• Follow safety, infection control, sterile technique, drug and radiation policies
• Screen individuals before they enter the department
• Maintain equipment and work areas, report issues and help manage supply inventory
• Obtain, verify and maintain documentation and imaging records including requisitions, patient history and pregnancy status
• Precept and train new team members and take call if required

Requirements:
