Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to perform CT and MRI exams with a focus on patient safety and diagnostic quality. You will review patient history, screen for MRI safety, and follow strict protocols for consent and time-out procedures.

You will position patients, administer IV contrast when indicated, and document results in EMR and PACS. A minimum of 2+ years CT/MR experience and ongoing licensure are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High school grad or equivalent is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in radiologic technology.
• Must maintain radiology licenses and registrations.
• Experience with MRI/CT procedures preferred.
• 2+ years CT/MR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and MRI examinations per physician orders.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
• Screen patients and staff for MRI safety per facility policy.
• Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean and equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Notify appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Perform daily system QC checks per departmental policies.
