Job summary

Inspired Flight Technologies Inc. is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to create clear, engaging training content and media that helps customers understand and succeed with Inspired Flight products.

The role focuses on training videos, tutorials, setup guides, and troubleshooting content, along with product photography and case studies. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end content from concept to delivery, travel for on-site shoots, and report to the Marketing Manager in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

3+ years in video production or technical content creation.
Portfolio or demo reel demonstrating professional video production, editing, storytelling, and photography.
Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within the first 30 days of employment.
Experience with cameras, lighting, audio recording, editing, and production workflows.
Experience with drones, aerospace, robotics, manufacturing, GIS, surveying, or public safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, produce, and maintain customer-facing training videos, tutorials, setup guides, troubleshooting content, and instructional media.
Travel to customer locations, partner projects, trade shows, and events to capture content and conduct interviews.
Capture and edit product photography and short-form content for websites, social media, and marketing materials.

Location

This is an in-office position based at Inspired Flight’s headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California. Candidates should be willing to travel to customer locations, partner projects, trade shows, industry events, and other field locations.

Job Description

Inspired Flight is looking for a Multimedia Specialist to create clear, accurate, and engaging content that helps customers understand, operate, and succeed with Inspired Flight products. The primary focus of this role is creating and maintaining customer training and support content, including training videos, product tutorials, setup guides, troubleshooting content, and other technical media. This role will also produce product photography, launch media, customer case studies, testimonials, event coverage, and short‑form content. The ideal candidate is a skilled video producer and technical communicator who can develop strong product knowledge and independently take projects from concept through final delivery. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Typical Responsibilities

Training and Technical Content

Own the planning, creation, publication, and maintenance of customer-facing training videos, product tutorials, setup guides, troubleshooting content, and instructional media.
Partner with Customer Success to identify recurring customer questions and prioritize new training and support content.
Translate engineering procedures, technical documentation, product updates, and internal knowledge into clear customer-facing content.
Develop scripts, shot lists, storyboards, and production plans for technical and educational videos.
Maintain and update existing content as products, software, and procedures evolve.

Media Production and Storytelling

Plan, capture, and edit video and photography for product launches, customer demos, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling.
Produce product photography and short‑form content for websites, social media, sales materials, dealer tools, advertising, and other marketing initiatives.
Capture and edit customer case studies, testimonials, partner stories, field projects, and technical demos.
Travel to customer locations, partner projects, trade shows, and industry events to capture content and conduct interviews.
Maintain an organized library of photography, video, B‑roll, source files, and final media assets.

Product Knowledge and Collaboration

Develop strong working knowledge of Inspired Flight aircraft, software, payloads, accessories, and customer workflows.
Obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within the first 30 days of employment and maintain an active certificate throughout employment.
Safely operate Inspired Flight aircraft during content production, product testing, training development, and customer demos.
Manage multiple projects, production schedules, deadlines, and production logistics with minimal direction.

You’ll Excel In This Role If You Have

Education/Experience Requirements

Three or more years of professional experience in video production, technical content creation, product media, customer education, or a related field is preferred.
A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating professional video production, editing, visual storytelling, and photography is required.
Ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within the first 30 days of employment. An active certificate at the time of hire is preferred.
Experience with Final Cut Pro or comparable professional video editing software, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva.
Professional experience with cameras, lighting, audio recording, editing, and production workflows.
Experience creating training videos, technical content, product demos, customer case studies, or similar customer‑facing media is preferred.
Experience with drones, aerospace, robotics, manufacturing, GIS, surveying, public safety, or other technical industries is preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education, professional experience, and demonstrated ability will be considered.
