Job description

Are you the type of person who sees a great shot before anyone else does? Do you get excited about capturing compelling video and photography, crafting motion graphics, and transforming raw footage into polished, engaging content? Can you spend the morning flying a drone, the afternoon editing a commercial, and the evening fine-tuning audio mixes without missing a beat? Do you want to work in a fun office with cool people and projects that take you all over the region? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a Multimedia Specialist to join our creative team and help produce high-quality visual and audio content for clients across a wide range of industries. In this role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the production process—from planning and capturing content in the field to editing, animating, mixing, and delivering final assets across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate is an experienced visual storyteller with strong technical skills and a passion for creating engaging content. You’ll work closely with the V.P. of Creative Strategy, Associate Creative Director, project manager, account executives, designers, writers, photographers, videographers, and production partners to bring campaigns to life. Responsibilities include video and photography production, post-production editing, motion graphics and animation design, audio recording and mixing, color correction, drone operation, and managing digital media assets throughout the production lifecycle.

This position must work in our Bismarck, ND, office. (And yes, we still have free snacks. The good kind. The kind that somehow tastes even better after a 12-hour shoot day.)

Responsibilities
  • Capture professional video and photography for commercial, corporate, tourism, healthcare, agricultural, and public-sector clients.
  • Plan, set up, and operate cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drone, and production equipment for studio and on-location shoots.
  • Edit video content for television, streaming, digital, social media, websites, presentations, and other marketing channels.
  • Create motion graphics, animated elements, title sequences, and visual effects to enhance video and digital content.
  • Record, edit, mix, and master audio for commercials, videos, podcasts, radio spots, and other multimedia projects.
  • Perform color correction and color grading to ensure visual consistency and quality across deliverables.
  • Collaborate with creative, account, and strategy teams to develop visual approaches that align with campaign goals and client objectives.
  • Assist with storyboarding, shot planning, production schedules, and pre-production logistics.
  • Manage and maintain digital media libraries, project files, archives, backups, and asset organization systems.
  • Prepare and export content for a variety of formats, platforms, and media specifications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, software, and studio resources.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, production techniques, and content formats.
  • Travel as needed for client productions, events, and agency projects.
  • Support live productions, interviews, and event coverage when needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Film, Digital Media, Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in video production, photography, post-production, or a related creative role.
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates video production, photography, editing, motion graphics, and storytelling abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of video production workflows, camera systems, lighting techniques, composition, and audio recording.
  • Experience creating motion graphics, animated content, and visual effects.
  • Knowledge of audio editing, sound design, mixing, and mastering techniques.
  • Experience managing large media libraries and maintaining organized file structures and asset management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for productions.
  • Health insurance
  • Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance
  • Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • 401K
  • PTO and Sick Leave
  • Maternity/Paternity Leave
  • Infant-at-work program
