Multimedia Producer & Digital Asset Manager

Burlington, NC, US

2 days ago Requisition ID: 1737

The Multimedia Producer & Digital Asset Manager is responsible for bringing strong, hands-on photography, videography, and editing skills to support a growing digital-first organization. This role helps build and maintain the visual asset ecosystem that makes that content easy to find, reuse, and scale, producing high-quality photo and video content — from product and lifestyle shoots to campaign and social-first video — while evolving the taxonomy, naming conventions, and governance standards that keep the asset library organized, and coordinating with outside vendors on the organization's emerging AR and CGI capabilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Photography & Video Production (Primary Focus)
  • Plan and execute product, lifestyle, campaign, and Ecommerce photography, including shoot planning, styling coordination, lighting, and staging
  • Perform advanced photo editing and retouching to produce polished, on-brand imagery ready for use across digital and print channels
  • Produce and edit product and lifestyle video content, including demonstration, campaign, and social-first video formats
  • Ensure all visual assets meet channel-specific technical specs (resolution, aspect ratio, file type, color profile) across platforms
  • Help develop proactive photography and production plans aligned with product launches, campaigns, and business priorities, rather than working purely request-by-request
Digital Asset Management
  • Store, tag, and organize finished photo and video assets in the DAM platform, following naming conventions and taxonomy standards
  • Help evolve the organization's taxonomy, metadata structure, and naming conventions, in partnership with leadership as SOPs are developed
  • Maintain a centralized, searchable library of approved product photography, lifestyle imagery, and video content
  • Ensure assets are properly prepared, tagged, optimized, and accessible for use across web, marketplace, social, email, and print channels
  • Identify opportunities to reuse and repurpose existing assets to reduce redundant production
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide guidance to other teams on asset standards, usage rights, and best practices for requesting and using visual content
  • Use AI and emerging tools responsibly (image editing, video editing, asset tagging/search) to improve production efficiency and asset discoverability
Professional Development
  • Stay current on photography, videography, digital asset management, visual storytelling, and emerging AI-powered production tools through ongoing self-directed learning and industry research.
  • Pursue relevant training, certifications, and educational opportunities to strengthen technical expertise in photography, video production, post-production workflows, DAM systems, and content operations.
  • Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders and team members to continuously improve creative execution, production efficiency, asset organization, and overall content quality.
  • Share new techniques, workflows, tools, and best practices with colleagues to help improve creative capabilities, DAM adoption, and operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Explore innovations in visual content production, asset management, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to identify opportunities that enhance scalability, asset discoverability, and business impact.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in photography, digital media, visual communication, or a related field preferred. A background or degree in a scientific field is a significant plus.

Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial/product photography and videography (required)

  • Experience storing, organizing, or tagging assets in a DAM or similar system is a plus, but not required — this can be learned on the job
