Job summary

KCRA 3 in Sacramento, a Hearst Television station, is seeking a Local News Photographer and Editor to capture compelling stories and bring them vividly into viewers' homes. You will shoot, edit for newscasts, and deliver engaging live shots, working with the News Operations Manager and producers.

The role requires strong storytelling, technical proficiency on ENG gear, and editing with Adobe Premiere. Weekend/holiday shifts and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional video journalism experience.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and varied shifts.
• Strong journalistic integrity and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit VOs, VOSOTs, teases and packages for all platforms.
• Collaborate with Assignment Desk, reporters and producers.
• Operate professional camera equipment and edit for newscasts.
• Publish content to online platforms and manage video assets.
• Maintain gear and assist with station workflows.
