University of Texas Rio Grande Valley seeks a Multimedia Journalist to develop and produce written stories and video content for print, broadcast, web and social media, promoting the university brand to students, faculty, staff, donors and the community at large.
The role requires a bachelor's in writing, communications, or multimedia production and at least two years of news writing and video production experience using AP Style, with hands-on social media experience across major platforms.
Qualificações
- Bachelor's degree in writing, communications, or multimedia production.
- Two years of news writing and video production experience using AP Style.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) is required.
Responsabilidades
- Develops and writes stories about UTRGV and the university community.
- Manages production of assigned stories solo or with a team, meeting deadlines.
- Produces text, video, and photo content to support the UTRGV brand.
- Maintains contact with sources to identify themes and newsworthy events.
- Tailors writing for social media, print, broadcast, and web pages.
