Job summary

Entravision Communications Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a full-time news producer. This role assists with various aspects of news production, including shooting, writing, editing, and publishing content for TV and digital platforms.

You will coordinate and conduct interviews, develop story ideas, and represent the station at community events. Reporting to the News Director, you will work with the Assignments Editor on daily story gathering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, or related field.
• Fluency in Spanish (high level of reading, writing, and speaking) essential.
• Strong English reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Reporting, shooting, writing, and editing experience with a good ratings track record.
• Knowledge of INews and Adobe Premiere editing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shoots, writes, and edits daily stories.
• Coordinates, organizes and conducts interviews.
• Develops and maintains a network of contacts providing access to exclusive stories.
• Assists producers in establishing sources, finding and executing enterprise news investigations.
• Represents the station in community related events.
• Works directly with Assignments Editor on daily story gathering and creation.
