The role requires strong on-air presence, English fluency and the ability to meet deadlines across shifting schedules. You’ll work onsite in a fast-paced newsroom, collaborating with producers and editors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field.
• 3 years experience preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting (Depending on market size).
• Superior on-air presence.

Responsibilities

• Produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news content for all platforms.
• Arranges interviews with information sources for stories.
• Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation.
• Determines emphasis, length and format of a story and organizes material.
• Pitches stories to managers and producers relevant to the local community.
• Receives assignments and evaluates leads and tips to develop ideas.
• Checks reference materials to obtain relevant facts.
• Shoots and edits news events and reports.
• Writes stories for the web and other eMedia platforms.
• Interacts with viewers on social media.
