Job summary

WIFR-TV/Gray Media in Rockford, IL seeks an MMJ reporter who can shoot video, write compelling stories, and deliver them with a strong on-air presence. You will write and edit packages for air and manage content for our website and social platforms.

Applicants should have a college degree, newsroom experience, and be adept at working under deadlines, with solid writing, storytelling, and driving skills. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Our fast-paced industry requires journalists who can work on a deadline and can adapt to breaking news.
• Candidates must have a working knowledge of all social media platforms, strong writing skills, and a solid on-air delivery.
• Good news judgment with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions is essential.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
