Job summary

Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation invites students to join our Graphic Design, Video Production & Multimedia Internship. You’ll create graphics, videos, and multimedia assets for internal and external audiences, gaining hands-on experience with branding and storytelling in a utility environment.

You’ll collaborate with Communications teams, build portfolios, contribute to events and campaigns, and learn industry workflows while developing professional skills and a network of mentors.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Graphic Design, Digital Media Production, or related field.
• GPA 3.0+ and undergraduate standing (freshman–junior); grads considered for master's track.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, photography, videography, and digital content tools preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics, infographics, presentations, digital signage, and marketing materials.
• Assist with video production: filming, lighting, audio, editing, motion graphics, post‑production.
• Create visual content for employee/customer communications, social media, and campaigns.
• Support photography and videography at events and company initiatives.
• Develop short and long form video content for social/intranet/executive comms.
• Create animations and multimedia assets to simplify complex topics.
• Maintain brand standards and visual identity across materials.
• Assist with executive presentations, toolkits, annual reports, and strategic materials.
• Organize digital media libraries and creative assets.
• Collaborate with departments to turn topics into compelling visual stories.
