Job summary

IRT Living's Service Technician role at St. James at Goose Creek Apartment Homes in Goose Creek, SC, focuses on hands-on maintenance of plumbing, electrical, appliances and HVAC to keep residents' homes in top condition.

You will conduct inspections, assist with apartment turns, follow safety guidelines, and participate in an on-call rotation while delivering excellent customer service to residents and teammates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related fields (hospitality, construction, skilled trades).
• EPA I & II and CPO certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; move items and use equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and more.
• Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and common areas.
• Assist with apartment turns, including painting and unit preparation for new residents.
• Maintain organized maintenance areas and ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate with residents and team members to provide excellent service.
• Join after-hours on-call rotation to support emergencies.
