Job summary

HDR invites motivated Civil Engineering students to join its Transportation Intern program in Nashville, Tennessee, for 2027. You will work under engineers and project managers on highway design, traffic planning, bridges, rail, and field services.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with highway design, planning, and related projects across multiple disciplines.
• Support data analysis, GIS map creation, and preparation of reports and presentations.
• Participate in project meetings, field visits, and documentation efforts.
• Assist with CAD drawings, quantity calculations, and cost estimates.
• Support construction observation, project controls, and stakeholder coordination.
